"The truth is the only thing worth having, and,
in a civilized life, like ours, where so many risks are removed,
facing it is almost the only courageous thing left to do."

Reader comments about this quote:
If you are willing and able to deal in "truths", research and understand the role played by the Federal Reserve and all central banks. Their collection wings (IRS, CRA, Inland Revenue etc.) and their connection to the Globalist / One World Government agenda. Then decide if you are going to be a free person, or inventory.

As a stand alone statement this gets less than 1 star. Along with truth, - love, charity, faith and knowledge (not just a mere gathered selection of information) start a list of courageous and noble things that are worth having. In context with a narrow focus, the quote gets 5 plus stars, a multiple of times. In societies (civilized is another topic) like the one's in which we find ourselves, the exercise of truth is in deed a very courageous thing to be / do.

Sadly in today's political society the truth is all but forgotten, which unfortunately leads the private sector to do the same without any shame.

Courage is the primary virtue without which no other virtue is possible. A 'civilization' without honor is not civilized at all.

Sorry, we must first face the fact that the conventional individual could not possibly pass for civilized, abusing sex and drugs, just a generally overall disregard for the sanctity of  the overall life process.
