I believe that too. In fact I get the feeling that we won't be "secure enough" for Janet Napolitano until we are all handcuffed and gagged.

Today's problems have much more to do with the environment that King George W & the Tea Partiers have created than with any member of the Obama administration. The attacks this year have more to do with the policies of the previous 8 years (or even the previous 20) than with the immediate policies of today. If folks preach fear and "handcuffs and gagging" as their holy grail, then folks should not be surprised or offended when that is what they get.

What an idiotic statement! Tell this to the Haitians or the Iraqi's in Baghdad after the fall of Saddam. Or tell this to inner city dwellers who cry out for police presence. Every one knows that without police and law enforcement the world goes to hell. Why or why do you think such things exist? Peope who resent a little personal actual or psychological (what ever that is) discomfort due to obeying rules and regulations for the common good will have neither comfort or good.

Waffler, you miss the difference between a police force of "peace officers" and a "Security Machine". One is necessary, the other completely evil.

Anonymous, why stop at the previous 20 years. How about since Abraham Lincoln.

You are right Jim K......It's as if we elect our warden every 4 years instead of our president.

J you read into what ever you want to read into it.I think it is the word "machinery" that triggers your strange reaction. People like to be secure in their person, property and rights it this is provided for by police, laws, and courts.
