One only needs look at the current administration's war against the world, wealth creation and the local sovereigns - We The People (the war lords only need bread and circus with a dole spread sufficiently to gain support of the slave's public opinion - WHERE ARE THE FREEMEN?).

Without a war, people are generally disinterested in news. Without perpetual conflict, no one would call on government for 'help.' The media makes so much money in political advertising, especially when there is great division within the People. Remember that heavy hitting news organizations are referred to as 'opinion-makers' -- that is their REAL job.
