(-; wow, a previously unknown cause of homosexuality and aids; it must be true, the government wouldn't lie to us, hmm I wonder if there is a 12 step program lurking out there somewhere?;-)
     -- Mike, Norwalk
  •
Well, we know this to be an outright lie. Makes me wonder what Other lies have been pushed down the throats of The People.

Let me guess...Turner is a homosexual pot head with Aids?

Editor, what are you up to here? These are so obviously thumbs down... How the hell do these morons get into government - Oops, sorry, I shouldn't of said that.

And this was in 1986. Who says Americans are smart -- that is not the reputation Americans have unfortunately. Once again, the Drug War is based on fear, prejudice, intimidation, and hypocrisy. Not to mention the huge profits for the drug dealers, police, and military. Alcohol prohibition built up a huge police force to combat it -- rather than firing everyone, they had to come up with another boogeyman. If we repealed the drug laws today, over half the prison population would be released -- non-violent drug offenders fill our prisons. It would be a terrible blow to the police departments around the nation -- of course the black market would be gone and street gangs would suffer tremendously -- i.e. communities would be safer, users would have access to regulated products, billions of dollars a year would be saved, and MAYBE we might heal another obviously racist wound in America. No worries, though, for I am sure that after drug prohibition is abolished, guns will become the new enemy and the 'War On Guns' will begin. Yawn. When will we ever learn...

What's wrong with homosexuality? I think it's preferable to overpopulation.

Good for you Lupas and well said Archer - its amazing we send harmles people into prison for smoking pot and award the banks and corporate America for stealing from the poor.

Everyone know homosexuality is a preference...no, wait...it's genetic...no, wait...I'm so confused. Maybe it's the pot. Now, where'd I put the Doritos?

Another lie to keep this War on Drugs going. The War on Drugs enriches drug lords, fills our jails with non violent people, makes drugs more available to children and cost over 69 billion $ per year. Check out what former DEA agents, cops, narcotics detectives, judges and others have to say about this travesty. Leap.cc

Notice the.... That means he could have had allot deleted. We can read that fragment of a quote to suit our prejudices quite nicely. I guarantee you marijuana lowers your resistance to suggestion especially when it comes to sex. That definitely gives you a higher risk for contracting aids. No responsible way to rate this quote without knowing what it actually was.

That Quote is a load of rubbish, Any type of sex is the persons choice. Aids is a sexualy tranmited infection yes. And well marijuana has little or nothing do do with the first two. Oh yeah just a Quick bit of information Marijuana - has about 400 Chemicals in it Coffee - Has over 800 (Several of which are rat carcogenics)

Hey Warren, This guy was and still is a complete lying a-hole. Have you ever smoked weed. If anything it makes you more paranoid. It doesn't "lower your resistance to suggestion". Alcohol yes, but not weed.

I think everyone's crazy of arguing. it's stupid enough as it is.
     -- John, Doe
  •
Well... He must know from personal experience... It must mean that he got high on sum good shiz gave some guy head and then got AIDs from it... I don't see any other reason why he'd say it.

I think you are stupid and don't know what you are talking about

Marijuana used to lead to heroin addiction. Remember that tripe? Now it leads to homosexuality? WTF? If you're going to make up random bullshit and expect the The People to believe it, try making it more believable bullshit.

Guys if you really want to do some good get off your asses and campaign, or do something besides arguing. Right this very minute im working on a resarch paper called "the physiological effects of cannabis on the adolesent body", trying to educate the people about the truths of ganj. dont just argue, go and revolt, if that means you create GM cannabis strains like me then go for it.
     -- Andrew, Beavercreed

Dr. Turner, never in a million years, would make such an assinine statement. It is pure idiocy. He is a leading authority on marijuana and it's effects on the human body. This is merely a smear campaign designed to tarnish the record of an upstanding man who is a patriot, philanthropist and genuinely concerned for the youth of our country.
     -- Sunny, Wisconsin

Marihuana does not cause paranoia. Paranoia comes from a result of prohibition.
First time smoker associates smoking marihuana with a BAD criminal, breaking law, negativity, anti-religious .... bla bla bla images and the result is paranoia. If you do try it: Stay calm, focus on yourself, try playing a guitar if you play, work on your computer, try painting if you paint, really listen to the music loud and clear, do yoga if do yoga, have sex. Try to do more complex activities later when you get to know more how you react and function with the effect of cannabinoids, then do whatever you like to do and just enjoy it. Mitja.G

Turner might be correct for one person and one situation, but as with most of man's chosen endeavors, no one result can be claimed, except that it seems to generate a lot of illogical pro and con hyper-reactions

A cheap shot at reverse psychology.
Herb, eseb is used 19 times in KJ 1611. The first mention is Gen 1:11,12,29,30 then Gen 2:5, 3:18, 9:3. seven times in Genesis altogether. You do not half to wonder why musicians like it . Seven notes in the scale. Natural law of occurrence. Always a positive mention with the herb. Psalm 104:14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: Paul states one man eats all things the other herbs for healing. There is no difference. Rom 14:2
On the other hand you have a question of morality and worship. There are many gods supposed, and old religious practices of ancient times. This concerning the temple and the priest. Qadesh people of Sodoma. A ( quasi ) sacred person. A ( male ) devotee ( by prostitution ) to licentious idolatry, unclean. A temple prostitute. The word is used 1 time in a KJ, 1611. One is enough to understand. Due 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a Sodomite of the sons of Israel. Herb is for healing and has nothing to do with persuasion. Perverted temptation lies in the mind that ponders it.
