This reminds me of James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." While practicing Matt 5:44 "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" The right arm historically did not always represent deadly force regulation but also, an extension in love, friendship, and respect. I believe that liberty and freedom may yet be brought back out of obscurity with a nonviolent hand of education, respect, and the truly free's heart felt endeavors.

Mike, I agree with you on this and add that I think that if it isn't done with love and an extended hand we are setting the world up to repeat history again with a shortlived freedom and a long drop into the abyss we find ourselves in today. Love is the only thing that can break that cycle along with the divine laws of justice to guide us in our endeavor.

Anon, thank you, I whole heartedly agree with your addendum.

I can appreciate the senitment of winning the day with "love"...but I think a whole lot of us will be killed using that method alone. How about love and a .45? Let's offer some choices that don't get us all killed.

J Carlton, self defense is a definite God given right and is part of the laws of divine justice. It's just that we can't forget that all men, just as we are, under that same divine justice, deserve by right, a trial in front of a jury of their peers. Of course it must be remembered that a peer, under the divine law that makes all men freemen, means not what most think it does today. Trial by jury is something which must not be forgotten when the days of reckoning come. Without it we will just fall into a nation of anarchists with each being a law unto themselves instead of freemen who are following divine laws of justice.

Anon, good point. Presuming of course that we live to see a trial date. I'm more worried that our nation will fall to martial law and then anarchy than I am about due process. If our fiat currency were to collapse, and it very well might, we had better be prepared to defend ourselves from all manner of violent incursion. It's better to be prepared and wrong, than the other way around.

I believe it was Andrew Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans who sais, " Put your faith in God my boys but keep your powder dry". Gun powder that is.

    Oops,"said" not "sais".

J Carlton, agreed. I would never deny or forget that first of divine law that says one has the right to defend himself and if things go the way you say, and they very well could, then I too am in agreement with jim k, keep your powder dry but never give up your faith.

jim, I smile, I was thinking on writing the same thing. The courts are as corrupt (or worse) as any third world banana dictatorship. Legislators are hell-bent on one-upping the tyranny from the other side of the isle. The executives are trying to emulate that which is omnipotent; and, all the while, the media industrial complex is in overdrive putting a moral sound bite on their despotism of choice. A vote for law is the first step but, after turning the cheek 70 time 7 times, freemen may resort back to the / a Declaration of Independence.

It was Gandhi who said "I like your Christ but I do not like your Christian's, they are so unlike your Christ" he was spot on. It's sad to see so many denying themselves the incredible gift of life and allowing themselves to be sucked in by the invisible bogeyman - wake up people and throw your crutches away. By the way, Byron was bisexual and hated religion - some may want to change their ratings

What is a left handed person suppose to do. As far as the Love idea expressed above yes that is more powerful probably than the gun in the end. Was it not some form of love that rescued Europe and Japna when guns fell silent at the end of WWII and was it not the lack of love that runied the south after the Civil War and Lincoln's assassination. I have read that the reconstruction of the south by the north was a much worse occupation of a defeat foe than was the two mentioned above. You guys geve everything five stars, how about nuancing your star awards, with a few two, threes, and fours

To Howard and aa,hb any original free thinking person is an idiot. I love being thought so by the general run of sheep and lock step camp follwers who post to this site. The only thing they seem to agree on is Washington is bad. A shallow group if I have ever heard one. Thanks aa though for standing up for my rights, and welcome Howard and stay tuned. I would love to have some more audience to educate.

Waffler, some major corrections to your here last post. You are not a free thinking person (original or otherwise - you have not yet posted an original thought on this blog, only regurgitated rhetoric from the socialist industrial media complex, some Marx / Hitler evolved concept and/or from the statist theocracy that infests this nation) You are the consummate staunch supporter of democracy, mob rule where there can be no originality, no free thinking, only a herd mentality and camp followers with lock step obedience (segregate the minority from the majority so that the herd can force its will on its victims of choice). Most who post on this site love individual liberty and original free thinking as is averse to your collectivist dogma. By the way, your use of idiot here is a great self portrait of Wafflerworld. Waffler, you're obviously confused floating on that toxic scum pond, you're senses have been dummied sufficiently that anything outside your baleful film seems impenetrable - it must be shallow, you haven't sufficient sense to dive in.

Can be summed up simply: Those that wish to be free must strike the blow. Whether it be non-violent non-cooperation with evil, or 'by any means necessary.' Pick your weapon, but no freedom without ACTION!
