I'm giving you zero stars for this one, because his name is Bobcat Goldthwaite, not Goldwaite. You missed the "th" in the middle.

Only the land was stolen. If your idea of America is greater than property then the idea of America was synthesized or distilled from the wisdom of the ages. (PS. Louisiana and Alaska was purchased fair and square from people who stole it previously.)

It wasn't just the Land (property) that was stolen; it was the PEOPLE that were stolen from the Land so the land could be stolen from the indigenous people - there is no wisdom in Genocide period...

Well, MOST of the land was 'stolen' from the native tribes already in the 'New World.' Then of course it didn't stop there. Even now, the common man does not own the land he 'paid for,' the nation's gold was stolen in 1934, the people's labors are stolen as a matter of fact, our weapons for self defense are stolen in times of emergency (like FEMA does), our rights stolen with legislation like the Patriot Act and so-called 'free trade' agreements, our votes are stolen by untracable electronic voting scams, and our government branches stolen by the power of usury and dependence on banker's paper. But it is a great country, though, eh? (As long as you don't mention any of this stuff and do what you are told...)

Excellent! E Archer - Yes, you are right America is a great country - we just need to be better educated and provide for the mentally challenged and those that are unable to access healthcare unless of course they sell their home, their assets, and their self-respect.

Archer, said extremely well. Bruce, the history books are wrong. The U.S. did not purchase Alaska from anyone. I happen to have worked on this one with native Alaskans. Russia never claimed to own Alaska. The U.S. only bought Russia's fishing rights through an elaborate quit claim deed and claimed the whole of Alaska in the bargin.

Maybe... but we shouldn't have stolen it.

I agree with the general message, but I doubt America is the GREATEST country ever "stole."
