A terse list of that which dooms the specie man is: his immediate carnal desires, legal positivism's justifications and religion ("A"theism to "Z"en - for example; the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land, by way of larceny and otherwise forced canons mandate the destruction of the noble man's society by its / their version of health care, feed the hungry, cloth the naked, finance the indigent, etc.). Such list displays but a few of history's most important lessons that have not been learned by government school students

One must, of course know some history to even learn that.

Mike, government school students are lucky if they can read and write. Students are amazed if you can write cursive. Maybe you don't need to if you can use a computer.

Nice Jim, The pc is just a portal, it is best to turn the pages., and keep notes too. They don't learn history, but are given a private interpretation.

Funny how we tend to think of those in the past as uneducated, backward, barbarians, and old fashioned, and ourselves as intelligent, progressive, civilized, and modern -- yet, by studying history, humankind has merely shifted its prejudices and beliefs to more fashionable idols. While the technologies are more advanced, the oppressors have merely changed their cloaks -- serfdom is as fashionable a 'means' as ever. Thus newfangled chains will ultimately need breaking again and again. Learning from history helps to keep us free so that we do not keep falling for the same old con games over and over.
