Reader comments about this quote:
I must ? no choice? There is always a choice. There is no freedom in compelled or mandated beliefs. By my beliefs, I will defend free will and happen to believe that it is one of the greatest supporting pillars and definitions of liberty. Maybe in context, the quote would get more stars.

Mike's correct ... left or right, trigger words or no, punishment-bribe-or-torture ( think the Senator ) -- free will will compel if he wills it ! Singer's correct; no excuses -- compulsion ? mandate ? There ain't no such thing and history includes the names of those who decided there was no choice -- and died for the freedom to choose to do so.
Maybe if we add the word "other" ( no OTHER choice ) Mike would be happier.

;-) It's true -- the only paradox is for those that do not want the free will that they already have. But I understand that one does not have to believe in free will -- one does not have to believe in anything, but belief does not confer authenticity.

Think about it: you do not have a choice if you do not believe in free will -- if you have a choice, then you have free will. ;-)

If it were not for the Mighty arm of God and his guiding hands, desire upon the hearts of the individual free will of donation, the truth would be suppressed forever ! This I have seen up close and personal. Socialism saturates the religious organizations of America. Separation of church and state was of the first order in founding this nation upon Liberty for all ! Doubt is never sure of Liberty. One must be allowed to reckon it so, but first must be presented by way of Fact, based upon doctrine. Then God must be trusted for survival of a given association. It is very rare indeed, in the sea of socialism. Grace is never worked for. It is a gift of God. We receive Liberty by grace through faith. Firm reliance in Divine Providence. A foundation to stand upon. And Stand is the order of the day ! Stand fast in the Liberty wherewith God has made us Free. Apeleutheros Liberty. One of three key doctrines of Liberty. The tri cord of sound doctrine, or if you will, the mystery of 3. pondered by some, understood but by a very few. The last word in the OT, is curse. 39 books in the OT, 3 x 13 = 39. Freedom from the curse of the law. There are 13 doctrinal guide points of moral responsibility concerning the lending and barrowing of money to an individual at Liberty. As 13 controversies, God has in breaking of these conditions by those that lend money. Math and geometry show this commonsense very well. It is simplicity of Liberty. But very, very rarely ever shown to any congregation ! Preaching of Liberty is foolishness to them that perish. But to us that are saved by Liberty it is the power of God ! So be it. Unity of this knowledge does go forth. and will prosper in that, it is intended for. The word of God never returns void !
