"Give me control over a man's economic actions,
and hence over his means of survival,
and except for a few occasional heroes,
I'll promise to deliver to you men who
think and write and behave as I want them to."

Hmmm....seems like this guy is well read...some one else is said to have the same idea of a system where no one can buy or sell without his mark... Of course, the Soviets and Chinese, and a host of other "economic systems"have tried the same thing with disasterous results...if you call starvation and slavery disasters. Nothing can beat free enterprise for many reasons... The threat of starvation is likely to produce many converts it would seem. Perhaps we should be wary of those who try this strategy today huh?

Logan and Cal gave great examples. In 1913 globalist bankers introduced a comprehensive debtor system, wholly realized with notes to replace U.S. / Constitutional money. To ensure acceptance of the complete control and economic take-over, a Constitutional Amendment (not lawfully ratified) implemented Marx's 2nd plank of the communist manifesto as well as a forerunner to Social Security. (SS being implemented in its present form in 1935)

But for one more example: unconstitutional economic control was implemented through Obamacare; i.e.: National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius did not address health care specifically but rather, the federal government owning the economic portion of laborers (helots, serfs and slaves). The gods of the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land could not directly compel a person while, they could mandate any extraction of the laborer's fruit (for any reason - inclusive of criminal overtures). As to the quote; absolute control over personal economics will dictate the masses' thought process - it is a rare hero in deed that lives his own life, aware and aloof of the economic god masters.

Confusion ? ( Or poor schoolin' ? ) It seems Mr. Benjamine A. may be addressed in writing either as Mr Rooge or as Mr. Rogge. I've not made an exhaustive search, even beyond that which [ appears to be relatively ] available in my computer.

In the interest of accuracy ... two o's or two g's ?

    HELP !!
